Common problems

What to check when a page redirects you, a button is missing, or a purchase doesn't show up.

Common problems

"I keep landing on a payment screen"

Every signed-in account sees the Marketplace Entry step once, before it lets you into Browse, Talent, or Jobs. If you only want to buy or hire, you do not need to pay it: look for Not a seller? Skip payment underneath the payment box, and then Continue as Buyer Only on the next step. See Getting started for the full walkthrough. You can still pay the entry fee later, from the same screen, whenever you decide to sell.

"I bought something but I can't find it"

Open the product's own page again; a purchased item shows a green Purchased badge and a Download ZIP button right there, whether or not it also appears under My Purchases. If My Purchases looks empty despite a real purchase, that list has not caught up yet; use the product's own page to download in the meantime, and contact support if it still will not download.

That happens on jobs pulled in from an outside job board (shown with a source like via Himalayas), not on jobs posted directly on DevGhouse. Revealing the real apply link on one of these costs 1 credit, which covers the cost of sourcing it; the job's title, description, and skills are always free to read first.

"I can't post a job or apply, only browse"

Posting a job (hiring) never needs the seller entry fee. Applying to a job, listing a service, or listing a product for sale does. If Post Job or Apply is missing or blocked, go back to your onboarding step from Getting started and pay the entry fee to unlock selling.

"My Edit Profile button took me to a different site"

That is expected: your public marketplace page, your products, and your services are workspace data, edited at app.devghouse.com, not inside the Marketplace app itself. See Your profile and credits for where everything lives.

"I signed in but I'm still asked to sign in again"

Make sure you are signing in with the same DevGhouse account you registered with. If you are part of a shared workspace, check the account switcher in the header to confirm you are in the context (personal account or workspace) you meant to be in; credits, listings, and contracts do not carry over between them.

"A milestone or timesheet is stuck"

Open the contract from Contracts and payments and check its Messages tab; every submission, approval, or dispute posts there automatically, so it usually explains what is waiting on what. If a client has not approved a submitted milestone, or has not funded the next one, a short message on the contract is faster than waiting.
