Common problems

Fixes for the issues people hit most often with Social.

Common problems

"I don't see Social in my sidebar"

Social is a module you turn on, not something every workspace has by default. From your dashboard, click Manage modules and turn Social on. See Getting started.

"Connect Instagram doesn't work with my account"

Instagram requires a Business or Creator account for this kind of access; a personal Instagram account can't be connected. Switch your Instagram account to Business or Creator in Instagram's own settings, then try connecting again.

"It says DM permissions missing"

The basic connection you make for X doesn't include direct messages. Click Connect with DM access on the banner (shown on every Twitter/X page) or on the Messages page itself, and approve the extra permission. See Posting on X.

"My Tweets and Mentions are empty"

Nothing is fetched automatically. Click Fetch from X to pull your history, or refresh Mentions the same way. Both are real calls to X, so both cost credits, shown on the button before you click it.

"I can't find a draft I made for Instagram or Threads"

Instagram, Threads and Facebook publish as soon as you click Publish; they don't have a separate drafts list like X does today. Double check your post before sending it on these three networks, since there's no draft step to catch a mistake first.

"My engagement rule isn't doing anything"

Check three things:

  1. Engagement enabled is turned on in the network's engagement settings, not just the rule itself. This setting only exists for X today; Instagram and Threads rules have no on/off switch of their own in the interface.
  2. Dry run is off, if you want it to actually post rather than just draft for review. Leaving Dry run on is normal while you're still checking the quality of what it drafts.
  3. For X, a rule only scans when something tells it to, there's no automatic sweep. Attach it to a routine (under Agents in your workspace) so it runs on a schedule, or run it once yourself with a connected assistant. Instagram and Threads rules can only be created by an AI assistant or a routine in the first place (there's no Add Rule button for those two yet), so if one isn't doing anything, check with whoever set it up rather than looking for it in the interface.

"TikTok isn't showing up as an option"

TikTok is marked Coming soon on the Social overview. It isn't connectable yet.

"I connected an account under the wrong workspace"

An account you connect belongs to whichever context (your personal account, or a shared workspace) you were in when you connected it. Disconnect it from the network's own page, switch to the right context from the top bar, and connect it again there.
