My new website says "This website could not be opened"
This can show up for a second right after you finish the build wizard. Refresh the page once; your site was created, and the dashboard loads correctly on the next try.
Domain suggestions never load, or the error stays even after I type my own
The automatic domain suggestions occasionally fail to generate. Type the domain you want directly in the box below the suggestions and continue. Your typed domain is used exactly the same way a suggested one would be, even if a message about suggestions failing is still showing.
I don't see Websites in my sidebar
If you signed up specifically to build a website and land on your workspace dashboard with Websites missing from the sidebar, go directly to app.devghouse.com/websites. The module works even when it has not been turned on in your sidebar yet. From there, open Settings > Manage modules and make sure Websites is switched on so it stays in your sidebar going forward.
SEO tools tell me to set my website URL, even though I already did
Save your live URL from the checklist on your site's dashboard (the Overview section, not a specific SEO tab), then give it a moment and reopen the SEO section you were in. If it still asks, double check the URL you saved actually starts with https:// and points at a real, reachable address. A placeholder or unreachable address can leave SEO tracking unable to start.
The review step says a GitHub repo will be created automatically, but I never connected GitHub
Only trust the green Connected state on the GitHub step itself, or what you see under Code on your site's dashboard afterwards. If GitHub was not actually connected, no repo is created; connect it from Code at any point afterwards and attach a repository from there.
I can't find FAQs, Testimonials, Team, Languages or Performance in the sidebar
These pages exist and work, but they currently have no link in the sidebar of a site's dashboard. Open the page directly by typing its address, for example https://app.devghouse.com/websites/91/faqs (swap in your own site's ID, and testimonials, team, languages, performance or google-tag for the others), or ask your assistant to make the change for you. I want to build a full new site with an AI agent, but I don't want to pay
The Build a website guided path from websites.devghouse.com is a paid service (10 to 100 US dollars, paid on-chain) because it includes a full autonomous build into your own repository. For a free start, use Add Website from your workspace instead (see Getting started); it creates your site and its dashboard immediately, and you or your own developer take it from there at no charge.
