Common problems
The email verification screen is stuck, or I lost the code
After you create an account, you're asked for a 6-digit code from your email before that screen moves on. You don't need to wait for it: your account is already signed in at this point, so you can navigate to /app directly in the address bar and start working. If the code never arrives, use Resend code on that screen, and check your spam folder.
A project shows "0 pages, 0 panels"
This happens when a project was created but the planning step didn't finish (for example, it failed, or you closed the tab before it completed). Open the project: if the canvas is empty with no pages listed, click + Page to start adding pages and panels by hand, or start a new project instead. Because planning that fails costs no credits, you haven't been charged for the empty one.
"Create and plan" or "Generate" is greyed out
A few reasons this happens:
- Your balance is too low. The button stays disabled until you have credits; the balance line right above it turns red and shows a Top up credits link.
- Something is already generating. Only one AI job (planning, a panel or page generation, a translation, or an asset regeneration) can run at a time per project. Wait for the strip under the toolbar to clear, or check the Panel tab, which disables Generate panel and Generate page while a job is active.
- The story field is empty. "What should happen?" is required to start a project.
I picked Claude Code, Codex, or Kimi in the wizard, but it still used credits
Step 3 of the onboarding wizard offers a choice of AI lane, including bringing your own Claude, Codex, or Kimi account. Right now, the studio always plans and generates through the DevGhouse Proxy lane, billed in credits; picking one of the other three in the wizard doesn't connect an account or change billing yet. Use the credits lane and check Credits and billing for what things cost.
Saving says a newer revision exists
If you have the same project open in two tabs, or someone else in your workspace saved first, clicking Save version can tell you a newer revision exists and reload it instead of overwriting it. Your edits since the last save are lost in that case, so it helps to keep a project open in one tab at a time, and to save often.
My export is stuck on "queued" or "running"
Exports run in the background and can take a little while, especially Motion exports. Leave the Export tab open or come back to the project later; the job's status updates on its own. If it's taking far longer than expected, use Cancel on the job and start a new export.
The "Dashboard" link in the studio menu goes somewhere unfamiliar
That link opens the main DevGhouse workspace hub, where your account, credit purchases, and every other product live. It's a different site from Comics itself, but the same account and the same credit balance.
