Credits, billing, and common questions
How credits work
Trips runs on a wallet of credits rather than a subscription. $1 buys 100 credits, and a new account starts with a batch of free ones, enough to create your first trip without paying anything.
The credit pill in the top right of the header always shows your current balance; click it to open the top-up screen, pick a payment method, and enter an amount to see the credits and any bonus it converts to.

Chatting and building the plan are both free. The only things that spend credits are creating a trip and, if you use it, the DevGhouse-metered AI assistant in the chat. Everything is priced in the app itself: the create wizard shows you the exact cost and your current balance before you commit to it, and if you're short, a Buy credits button is right there rather than hidden in a menu.
You can top up any amount, whenever you like, from Settings. There's no fixed package and no minimum.
If you get a "not enough credits" message
The create wizard checks your balance before you finish the last step and shows you the cost up front, so this shouldn't come as a surprise. If it happens anyway, click Buy credits to continue right there in the wizard: it opens the top-up flow without losing what you've already typed into the form.
Common questions
Do I need a separate account for every app on DevGhouse? No. Trips shares a login with the rest of DevGhouse. What doesn't carry over is credits or trip data; those stay specific to Trips.
What happens when someone uses my join link? They land on a join page for your trip. If they don't already have an account, joining creates one for them automatically, with 100 free credits, so there's no separate sign-up step in the way.
Can I plan a trip without knowing the destination yet? Yes. Skip that step in the wizard and decide it later in the trip chat, with a poll. Nothing about the plan or the budget depends on having a destination locked in from day one.
Can I delete a trip? Not from the app right now; there's no delete option in the current menus. If you created a trip by mistake and want it removed, that's a case for support rather than something you can undo yourself today.
Something on the page looks off, or a button doesn't do what I expected. Trips is under active development, so small rough edges do turn up now and then. If something seems broken rather than just unfamiliar, it's worth a second look after refreshing the page before assuming it's permanent.
