Trip chat and decisions
Every trip has one group chat, shared by you and everyone who joins. It's the same thread whether someone opens it from your dashboard or from the trip page they were invited to; there's no separate host-only channel and guest-only channel to keep straight.

Starting a poll
Rather than typing "where should we stay?" and hoping people reply in order, use one of the built-in starters:
- Where do we stay? opens a poll where each option is a real place, with check-in and check-out dates, a price per night, and an optional link.
- How do we get there? does the same for travel: each option is a way to get there, with times and a price.
Type your question (or use the suggested one), add a couple of options, and post it. Travellers vote right in the chat.
Making it final
Once people have voted, you or another host can mark one option as the winner. Tick Also put it on the trip plan while you're at it, and that stay or leg appears on the Plan page automatically, price and all, no retyping.
Getting AI help
Mention @devghouse in the chat and an assistant jumps in: it can suggest places, compare options in a poll, or answer a quick question about the trip. This is the one thing in Trips that spends credits; everything else in the chat and on the plan is free.
