Common problems

What to check when something doesn't look the way you expect.

Common problems

"It says I have no restaurant role yet"

This screen means your account isn't attached to any venue yet. If you're joining a team, ask the owner or manager to add you from their Staff page using your username.

If you just finished setting up your own venue and you land here anyway, this is a known issue on our side, not something you did wrong. Clicking Set up your restaurant again will not fix it, it only starts a second, separate venue. Contact support with your restaurant's name instead, so we can sort out your access directly.

"My orders board is empty and nothing is coming in"

Check Settings → Ordering & reservations and confirm Table ordering enabled is switched on. Orders only start arriving once it is, and once your tables have QR codes guests can actually scan.

"No one is booking a table even though we take reservations"

Check that Reservations enabled is on in the same Settings section, and that Max party size is large enough for the groups you expect. Note that the public booking site guests use to book themselves is still being built, so this list stays empty until it ships. Keep noting phone and walk-in bookings the way you do today.

"I can't see Settings, or I can't add staff"

Only the owner and managers can see Settings, edit the floor plan layout, or add staff. If you need one of these, ask your owner or a manager to change your role from the Staff page.

"A guest's QR code doesn't open a menu"

Confirm the table it's printed for still exists (deleting and recreating a table changes its code) and that Table ordering enabled is on in Settings. Reopen the table's QR code from the floor plan to reprint it if needed.

"I'm out of credits"

Click Credits in the top bar to top up; see Credits and billing for what's free and what costs credits. Running your floor, taking orders, and managing your team never costs credits by themselves.
